Are you Making the Most of Your Business Tech?
It's OK if you're Creative not techy!
I can teach you how to do it all!
I started teaching people to use computers in the late 80s when the biggest challenge in teaching them to use the computer was overcoming their fear of computers!
One of the things I’ve learned about teaching people to use software is that it’s more meaningful to them when are applying a set of skills to a project instead of learning skills out of context.
That’s why I created my Tech Create-shops!
What is a Tech Create-shop?
It’s a combination of things that come together to solve a problem in your business.
Tech
Tech will always be a necessary part of a virtual business, but it does not have to be frustrating or complicated.
Create
Each Tech Create-shop will center around creating a solution to a problem or need in your business.
Growth
The projects we work on during the Tech Create-shops will give you new ideas to help your business grow.
Fun
Learning new tech does not have to be a struggle. Join us to learn, and have a good time while we do.
Mistakes Enhance Learning
The biggest fear people have about working with tech is making a mistake.
I am here to tell you that I’ve made them all!
Here’s the big picture
Is this for you?
Now for the details!
A New Topic Each Month
The Tech Create-shops are held for one hour a day across three days one week with a follow-up Q&A the next week.
Some of the topics you can expect are:
— Using Canva to create lead magnet PDF files. We cover not only how to use the tools in Canva, but also design considerations and items every good lead magnet should have to make it a valuable tool in attracting customers.
— Using Google Docs and Google Forms to create landing pages and sign-up forms. Business tech does not have to be expensive or impressive. A simple Google Doc can do the trick to get customers into your programs. We’ll look at how to use Google Docs and what goes into a great landing page.
— Using Google Sheets to track income and expenses as well as forecasting and planning for business growth. Managing money is important and a stack of receipts in a drawer is not the best approach to recordkeeping. We’ll go through creating formulas that won’t give you flashbacks to high school math. We’ll look at using formatting to make them pretty for when you need to share them with others.
What we are learning this month!
