When I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher. My Dad was a college professor and I loved school. So, in some ways, it was what I knew best. I discovered a love of working with computers and that I had a knack for learning how to use them.
In my 40s I rediscovered my creativity, but not until my 50s did I find a way to join the two sides of me into one passion — Creatively Techy.

My chapter in the book is called “Rewriting the Book” and is the story of my mindset journey as I was creating my business.
You will often hear me say that the most important step of the Jump in and DANCE 10-Step Roadmap is Step 1: Believing that You Can.
The chapter is about the beliefs that I had since I was a child that prevented me from doing the things I really wanted to do.

I met my first computer at age 15. At age 25 I discovered my calling — teaching people to use computers. I’ve taught programming, graphic and web design, and productivity applications. As a total space geek, I was excited to be able to do training for NASA and other aerospace contractors.
I consider the work I do with the computer to be creative, whether it’s creating lead magnets, setting up a custom website, or writing code to make the customer’s dreams come to life. I have a knack for being able to create innovative solutions.

I started my first business when I was 28. In my 30s I dreamed of being able to empower people by teaching them to start and run businesses.
After leaving my job during the COVID pandemic to start another business, I discovered that the business landscape had changed since I closed my last business 5 years earlier, and running a virtual business as a solopreneur was very different from what I had done before.
After trial and error and hiring a variety of coaches, I realized that my experiences and all that I had learned made me uniquely qualified to coach people to start and grow their own businesses without having to learn all the different parts from many different coaches.
My Jump in and DANCE 10-Step Roadmap to Creating Your Heart-filled Virtual Business is the documentation of my own journey that I use to help others.
